  • What does BDE stand for?
    BDE stands for Beginner Driver Education
  • Q. What are the benefits of taking a Beginner Driver Education program?
    BDE is an MTO approved course which provides novice drivers with thorough knowledge about rules of the road and In-Car practice, and a certification will appear in your Driver’s License History upon completion of the course that may help you to get a discount when you get a quote for auto insurance.
    The Full Course comprises;

    • 20 + 10 hours online course, and
    • 10 hours of In-Car sessions

  • What are the requirements to achieve a certification by your school?
    A student must complete the BDE course that comprises of

    20 + 10 hours of online course with an average of 80 % in the online test
    10 hours of In-Car lessons with an average of 80 % in the test.

    After completion you will be certified with Ministry of Transportation (MTO)

  • Can I start the course without my G1?
    You can start online courses before getting G1, and start In-Car training once you obtain it. The Ministry of Transportation requires the completion of the course within one year of registration of the BDE course to be eligible for certification.
  • How do I get a certificate for insurance purpose?
    Driving school no longer provides the BDE certificate since 2008. Once you register with the Ministry of Transportation, you will need to contact Service Ontario and obtain a Driver’s License History Report for a fee. This report will show that you have completed the driver education program for beginners at our school.
  • What kind of insurance discount can I expect after passing the full course?
    You may be eligible for a discount off your insurance. We recommend calling your Auto Insurance company to inquire about a discount. The Driver’s License History (DLH) provides proof of successful completion of the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Course.

    The DLH/DTC (Driver Training Certificate) is widely recognized by the insurance industry as proof of course completion

  • How do I book my road test?
    Your In-Car instructor can make a reservation for you after registering with the Ministry of Transportation, or you can make your reservation by visiting the website https://drivetest.ca/book-a-road-test/ or by calling (416) 325-8580.
  • Is the car for the road test included in the course fee?
    You can use your own car or you can rent a driving school car for an extra fee. You can also purchase course package that has car included for the road test. Visit our website at https://allwomendrivers.ca/
  • Can I use the instructor’s car for my road test?
    Yes, you can use the instructor’s car for an additional cost depending upon which test center you choose and what package you purchased.
  • What if I need more In-Car sessions then the 10 that are provided in the course fee?
    You can purchase individual or mini packages at an additional charge.
  • How early can I go for my G1 exit road test?
    If you take a BDE course approved by the Ministry, you will be eligible to take the G2 (G1 Exit) Road Test eight months after the G1 issuance date. Otherwise, you will have to wait at least a year. This means that taking a beginner driver education course will reduce your waiting period by four months.
  • Do I have to finish my online course before I start my In-Car training?
    No, students are not required to complete an online course in order to start In-Car training. The course components are designed to take students through different skill sets in a way that accelerates your ability to learn driving. It is recommended to finish the digital course (20 + 10 hours) before starting In-Car lessons.
  • When will I get an instructor to start my In-Car driving?
    Fees must be paid in full before you start In-Car lessons. You will be provided with the instructor’s contact number after the first online class to contact her to make an appointment for an In-Car lesson. The Instructor will respond you at her early convenience. This process could take up to 10-14 business days, but it could be longer if it is busy.
  • Can I upgrade my purchased package?
    Yes, anyone can upgrade their purchased package by paying an administration fee of $50.00 (Conditions may apply)
  • What happens if I miss one of my In-Car lesson?
    Students will be charged a $ 30/hour for In-Car lessons that are cancelled within 24 hour without any prior notice.
  • What is your refund policy?
    Full-course and private training packages are eligible for a refund within 30 days if you have not started training/lessons and are subject to a $50.00 administration fee.
  • Can I arrange my In-Car lessons with my narrow, limited or odd schedule?
    Yes, All Women Drivers Inc. will try their best to serve an individual for In-Car lessons with tight, limited or individual schedules. However, it is recommended for each student to provide a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings
  • Do I have any deadline to finish the course?
    You must complete the course within one (1) year of date of registration of the course.
  • Do you provide pick up and drop off?
    Free pick-up and drop service is provided and both will be at same location (some conditions may apply)
